My name is Zach Schierl and I’m running for Position 2 on the East Valley School District No. 90 Board of Directors. As a college science instructor, I work directly with students from across the Yakima Valley every day. I have a firsthand view of how our schools prepare them for success and the many challenges they face. I will bring my experience as a lifelong educator to the Board by working with parents and listening to teachers, advocating for more support for special education, and increasing transparency around board meetings and decision-making. As the father of a one-year-old future EVSD student, I want to make our schools a more equitable and supportive place for ALL students.
